About the Role
Lead global innovation strategy and commercialization for key Body Care categories and future expansion opportunities. Shape the future of the Body Care portfolio, identifying new growth opportunities, driving innovation, and building a roadmap to strengthen Sol de Janeiro's leadership in the category.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the global innovation strategy for key Body Care categories and subcategories.
- Establish differentiated product benefits, claims, positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Own the long-term category vision and 3-year innovation roadmap.
- Set priorities that drive category leadership, business growth, and global relevance.
- Lead innovation development from insight generation through commercialization.
- Ensure concepts are grounded in consumer needs, market opportunities, and brand strategy.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Product Development, Supply Chain, Packaging, Creative, Regulatory, Consumer Engagement, and regional teams.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape category strategies, identify whitespace opportunities, and build a pipeline of scalable global innovation.
- Oversee category P&L inputs, including cost and margin targets.
- Optimize financial performance while maintaining product excellence.
- Analyze category performance, market trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights.
- Inform strategic decisions and portfolio optimization.
- Manage and develop direct report(s).
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in global marketing within beauty or CPG.
- Experience in Skincare, Hair Care, and/or Body Care strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of developing disruptive, category-defining innovation.
- Proven track record of leading global innovation programs from concept through commercialization.
- Strong blend of strategic thinking, creativity, analytical capability, and financial acumen.
- Experience with forecasting, COGS, and margin management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong external orientation.
- Consistently identify emerging consumer, trend, and market opportunities to drive growth and innovation.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
- Collaborative leader with experience influencing cross-functional teams.
- Experience driving decision-making.
- Experience managing direct report(s).
