About the Role
We are a private arts middle and high school seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment, helping students develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Teach various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry and calculus
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills through challenging mathematical problems
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum materials
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts across various levels
- Experience in middle and high school teaching is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline
