About the Role
San Francisco Arts & Science Academy (ASA) is seeking caring, passionate, and inspiring Homeroom Teachers for grades TK–4. Candidates must be bilingual. ASA believes education should nurture academic excellence, character, creativity, focus, and a lifelong love of learning, and seeks educators who believe children thrive in a structured, joyful, and nurturing environment rooted in strong values and meaningful relationships. Our program combines strong academics, daily arts education, bilingual learning, and intentional character development.
Responsibilities
- Teaching core elementary subjects
- Building a positive classroom culture
- Supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally
- Communicating regularly with families
- Collaborating with arts and specialty teachers
- Helping students develop strong habits, focus, and confidence
Requirements
- Bilingual
- Believe in the importance of character education and strong values
- Appreciate elements of traditional and classical education
- Can create a structured yet warm classroom environment
- Value discipline, kindness, responsibility, and respect
- Enjoy collaborating with families and colleagues
- Are enthusiastic, organized, and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for working with young children
