About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join our music faculty, focusing on inspiring students of various ages and skill levels through woodwind performance and instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach beginning and intermediate band classes and private lessons
- Provide high-quality instruction in woodwind instruments with an emphasis on flute
- Conduct rehearsals and prepare students for concerts, recitals, and performances
- Develop engaging lesson plans to build musicianship, technique, and ensemble skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with music instructors and communicate with students and parents
Requirements
- Strong performance background in woodwind instruments
- Previous teaching experience with school bands, youth ensembles, or private lessons
- Ability to teach students with varying levels of experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for music education and student development
