Responsibilities
- Collaborate as interdisciplinary team players, seeking alignment and establishing relationships with cross-functional stakeholder groups and existing teams.
- Act as Agile advocates, utilizing expertise in Agile methodologies to strategically tackle challenges and implement change.
- Work comfortably with ambiguity, navigating unknown paths with confidence.
- Serve as technical experts, employing critical thinking and extensive IT expertise to drive novel solutions for complex problems.
- Act as change agents, aligning and onboarding teams to implement new processes and toolsets, embracing complex challenges, and guiding organizations to optimize IT best practices.
- Build strong relationships to foster trust and influence stakeholders.
- Plan platform solution design and deployment.
- Develop feasibility studies, assess platform suitability, and issue recommendations.
- Support core planning process redesign and alignment with platform capabilities.
- Lead technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions for prospective clients.
- Develop functional and non-functional requirements for planning platforms.
- Lead full lifecycle implementations for Advanced Planning Systems (APS) in Supply Chain.
- Design and deploy UI/UX and Kinaxis configuration to support IBP/S&OP, Demand/Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, or Control Tower.
- Conduct data discovery, mapping, transformation, and normalization for APS use cases.
- Develop integrated solution architecture designs for APS, ensuring integration with enterprise systems.
- Design and implement data integration patterns for secure, performant, and fast time-to-value deployments.
- Create implementation roadmaps, scoping and sizing effort for APS programs.
- Ensure APS align with evolving technology landscapes.
- Provide expert guidance on tooling options, offering clear, actionable insights into advantages and trade-offs.
- Lead the creation of client-specific strategic materials, surfacing key insights.
- Translate technical findings into business impact and opportunities that drive measurable improvements.
- Codify messaging and data into presentable materials and deliver communications efficiently.
- Manage organizational change for new planning solutions by driving stakeholder engagement, adoption strategies, and training programs.
- Restructure IT processes and teams to optimize support for planning capabilities.
- Align platform capabilities to deliver value-driven outcomes.
- Establish KPIs and value metrics to measure platform success and ensure ROI realization.
- Present materials, case updates, and escalations to client and internal teams.
- Facilitate technical and strategic working sessions and workshops.
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients.
- Provide direction on key work items and feedback to other team members.
- Manage projects and expectations, maintaining control of escalating situations.
- Provide quality assurance oversight, reviewing junior team members' output.
- Drive consistency of technical work products, especially with external systems integration partners.
- Promote a positive experience for junior staff.
- Serve as a role model by actively demonstrating and living BCG’s Culture and Values.
- Assist with business development through writing proposals and scoping projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in mathematics, natural sciences, information technology, business management, or relevant field.
- 5+ years of practical experience leading APS implementations with Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, etc.
- Experience in business process design and configuration.
- Experience managing cross-functional, global deployments for planning transformations.
- Supply Chain domain knowledge.
- Previous experience in a management role in two or more end-to-end planning platform implementations in a waterfall or agile setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
- Experience with the management of decision processes at large organizations.
- Strong customer and results orientation.
- Confidence and persuasiveness.
- Experience planning and managing large, complex projects.
- Gen AI tool fluency (e.g., proven usage of GenAI such as ChatGPT, Claude) and validation of response.
- Willingness to travel around the globe to work with clients and BCG teams.
- Significant travel to client sites may be involved depending on client needs and project nature.
