About the Role
Join the Cisco Low End Enterprise and Small Business switch team in developing the next generation of cloud-connected edge network switches for customers. This role offers a unique experience for Networks Hardware Engineers within a large, multi-geography Hardware organization.
Responsibilities
- Specify technical product documentations and lead reviews.
- Architect system block diagrams with major Networking ASIC suppliers.
- Design Networking Switches, review schematics/layout, perform bring-up, troubleshooting, design validation, and yield bring-up with ODM/JDM partners.
- Work with major component suppliers on next-generation high-performance and cost-effective technology.
- Collaborate with product management and Software platform teams to develop next-generation product definitions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (ID/ME/Compliance/SCM) through NPI phases to bring products to market.
- Triage, debug, and root cause major customer issues during the sustaining stage.
- Participate in process improvement and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years, or PhD + 1 year, or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Prior experience with multi-gigabit Ethernet and Power-over Ethernet (PoE) technology.
- Prior experience with schematics/layout, Hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and system level testing.
- Previous experience working with Software teams on system bring-up and porting, and device configuration (registers level).

Salary/Compensations
- $152,400.00 - $221,800.00 (U.S. and/or Canada)
- $152,400.00 - $255,100.00 (New York City Metro Area)
- $134,300.00 - $224,800.00 (Non-Metro New York state & Washington state)
