About the Role
As an EHS and Compliance Manager, you will lead the environmental, health, and safety organization on site by developing, implementing, and maintaining effective management systems. You will provide technical advice and assistance to enable EHS performance to be managed effectively, contributing towards achieving the Manufacturing site vision. The primary goal is to protect all employees by minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Haleon standards for air, water, soil, waste, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report EHS performance, connecting to shared lessons and good practices within the site and across regional supply chains.
- Ensure EHS site objectives align with the corporate EHS plan and priorities.
- Investigate EHS accidents and high-potential incidents to identify and implement improved EHS practices, championing the consideration of human factors and human reliability.
- Investigate adverse audit/inspection findings, determining corrective and preventive actions to close gaps and EHS risks.
- Drive improvement of the site's safety culture, ensuring safe behaviors are encouraged and rewarded.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Haleon Policies, Standards, and Internal Control Framework to a site-specific management system for EHS risks.
- Manage the EHS department's budget.
- Prepare, implement, and execute Crisis Management processes, ensuring effective business continuity and loss prevention plans.
- Ensure an integrated approach to environmental management to reduce the manufacturing site's environmental impact.
- Collaborate with Shared Services/Functions to integrate EHS into site strategy, Risk Mapping, and Business Continuity plans.
- Develop relationships and share best practices with EHS professionals at other sites.
- Ensure adequate numbers of qualified EHS staff are available and support their development for succession planning.
- Implement a culture of total disclosure regarding EHS regulatory compliance, audit results, and incidents.
- Build and maintain strong trusting relationships with customers and stakeholders, demonstrating persuasive communication and influencing skills.
- Lead and develop direct report EHS Staff Members.
- Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards, including Data Integrity, ALCOA, cGMP, QA, and QMS policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences, and/or Occupational Safety (or other related specialization).
- Experience in managing EHS risks in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Pharmaceutical, or related high-hazard sector.
- At least 10 years of experience in the EHS Field.
- At least 4 years of experience managing a team.

Salary/Compensations
- $133,171 to $183,110.40 plus a 12% performance Bonus
