About the Role

Shape the future of human-computer interaction by designing cutting-edge voice interfaces, collaborating with founders and engineers, and building new product surfaces for millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Design new product surfaces from scratch, often with no existing product category to reference.
  • Perform systems thinking, including information architecture, interaction models, edge cases, and feature composition.
  • Create high-craft visual designs, focusing on typography, motion, and considered details.
  • Prototype rapidly to understand and develop new interaction problems.
  • Define and evolve the design system to support a multi-product strategy and maintain quality during scaling.
  • Engage with users to understand how Flow integrates into their actual work.
  • Ship small-to-medium code changes with AI tooling and engineering assistance.

Requirements

  • Previous founding/startup experience, or experience at a design agency/freelancing.
  • An exceptional design portfolio and track record of taste.
  • Experience designing products or features without obvious reference points (0-to-1 work, novel interaction paradigms, or undefined categories).
  • A blend of visual design and systems design expertise.
