About the Role
The Operations Manager leads a high-performing team to drive retail sales growth and operational excellence. This role oversees inventory life-cycle processes, store realignments, and planograms while fostering a culture of accountability, talent development, and exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and payroll goals.
- Drive company profitability through operational excellence and expense control.
- Leverage store forecasts and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and complete store workload.
- Analyze financial and operational reporting to drive store improvements.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
- Build an engaged, inclusive team through effective communication and collaboration.
- Support professional development through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Establish professional vendor partnerships.
- Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code.
- Execute operational tasks including ad sets, visual sets, planograms, and inventory management.
- Manage store schedules and attendance using company tools.
- Manage service, boutique, and store supply inventory and ordering.
- Protect company assets through loss prevention, safety, and cash management protocols.
- Provide feedback to field leadership on business trends and operational challenges.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience.
- Proven success in financial management, including sales growth and payroll budgeting.
- Experience in retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in talent development and team motivation.
- Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work shifts on Sundays and Mondays.
- Ability to attend corporate business meetings and conferences.
- Continuous mobility throughout the store including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Skills
- Proficiency with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
