About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
- Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for blood drawing stations
- Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
- Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
- Utilize the computer for entering labs and printing labels, ensuring orders for lab work are in place
- Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments
- Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms, and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records
Requirements
- Strong phlebotomy skills required
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Computer proficiency required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships
