About the Role
IDEA Principals are systems leaders and people managers who coach and develop teachers and lead team members at their school to achieve ambitious goals with students across both elementary and middle school grades. Principals focus on excellence and continuous improvement to ensure IDEA’s mission of College for All Children becomes reality.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision for school culture and maintain strong schoolwide systems.
- Coach leaders to train teachers in building positive student relationships and effective classroom routines.
- Build and maintain schoolwide MTSS systems for student support, academic, and attendance interventions.
- Lead instructional systems to ensure APIs coach teachers to deliver high-quality instruction and analyze data.
- Manage schoolwide special program systems for students with IEPs, 504 plans, and other eligibilities.
- Oversee operational systems to ensure a safe, welcoming, and efficient campus.
- Manage the APO to meet student enrollment and daily attendance goals.
- Develop systems for family engagement, communication, and new family onboarding.
- Make strategic hiring, retention, and promotion decisions.
- Foster a strong staff culture and hold staff accountable for meeting high expectations.
- Execute schoolwide data collection and analysis to drive strategic decisions.
- Manage campus discretionary budget and priorities.
- Ensure campus compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to move throughout a school building including stairs and outdoor spaces.
- Ability to engage in virtual meetings and work remotely.
- Ability to travel to campus and regional training locations.

Salary/Compensations
- $114,000 - $135,900
