About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures.
  • Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in daily work.
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including classrooms, kitchen, staff room, office, hallways, and bathrooms.
  • Regularly remove garbage and recycling.
  • Work positively and enthusiastically with the team to ensure member safety and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate commitment to serving all members.
  • Uphold the YMCA Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Ensure the center is locked and the alarm is activated upon leaving.

Requirements

  • Experience in a commercial cleaning environment.
  • Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022, but may be reinstated.

Skills

  • WHMIS trained (training can be provided).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Employees & Members.
  • Professionalism.
  • Enjoy working in a social environment.

  • Licensed Child Care, Multiple Locations

Work Type

  • Part-time
  • Evening shifts
  • Monday through Friday

Experience Level

  • Experience in commercial cleaning environment.

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.60 per hour
