Responsibilities
- Adhere to YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures.
- Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in daily work.
- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including classrooms, kitchen, staff room, office, hallways, and bathrooms.
- Regularly remove garbage and recycling.
- Work positively and enthusiastically with the team to ensure member safety and satisfaction.
- Demonstrate commitment to serving all members.
- Uphold the YMCA Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Ensure the center is locked and the alarm is activated upon leaving.
Requirements
- Experience in a commercial cleaning environment.
- Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector screening.
- COVID-19 vaccination requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022, but may be reinstated.
Skills
- WHMIS trained (training can be provided).
- Ability to effectively communicate with Employees & Members.
- Professionalism.
- Enjoy working in a social environment.
