About the Role

Zynga is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Ingestion team within the Analytics organization. This role involves building SDKs and near real-time ingestion pipelines for analytics systems, supporting reporting, business intelligence, player engagement, machine learning, and user acquisition. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to drive the technical vision and architectural design of data ingestion pipelines, focusing on critical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own large-scale backend services for multiple platforms.
Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Address technical debt and improve system performance and reliability with stakeholders.
Proactively recommend improvements, new approaches, and emerging technologies.
Provide production and integration support for Zynga games and services.
Promote engineering best practices for performance, reliability, and measurability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).
6+ years of professional experience in software development and backend services.
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, debugging, and performance optimizations.
Familiarity with building RESTful backend services in Java, GoLang, and/or Python.
Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
Experience with AWS is highly preferred.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with senior leadership.
