About the Role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a Marketing Coordinator to join its Marketing Team in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development Manager to develop and implement marketing and business development initiatives for the Los Angeles office.
- Understand local practices, office initiatives, and key client representations.
- Prepare business development materials, including drafting pitches, collaborating on proposals, managing RFP responses, and producing collateral.
- Conduct, request, and analyze research for pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Draft, edit, and distribute marketing materials, newsletters, press releases, seminar materials, invitations, and client updates.
- Assist in deploying firm-hosted programs and events, including developing marketing materials and managing on-site logistics.
- Coordinate and execute attorney participation in marketing profile-raising events.
- Evaluate sponsorship opportunities based on ROI and strategic criteria.
- Maintain office and practice-specific content and draft submissions for directory and ranking authorities.
- Create and maintain records of the firm’s practice experience using the firm’s experience database.
- Develop relationships with attorneys to serve as a point of contact for marketing and business development needs.
- Organize practice group conference calls and follow up on action items.
- Ensure the flow of information from attorneys to the marketing team regarding biographies, practice area updates, and news.
- Collaborate with marketing professionals across the firm on various functions.
- Gather research and analysis on targets, industries, and judges for business development purposes.
- Maintain mailing lists, create spreadsheets, and perform other administrative duties.
- Provide back-up services to the marketing department as needed.
- Assist with and manage short and long-term projects and day-to-day requests.
- Support attorney onboarding and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two to Four years of relevant experience in marketing or business development.
- Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Tech-Savvy problem solver with the ability to learn new programs or systems easily.
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms).
- A self-starter and team player, able to accept direction yet work independently.
- Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong client-first work ethic.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, team meetings, training, and relationship building.
