About the Role
The Schoolyard Supervisor is part of the school life support team, under the hierarchical authority of the Primary School Director. The nature of the position's activities and missions brings the incumbent into contact with the school community as a whole. He or she must respect the operating rules of a French school, as well as Ontario regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the flow of cars during drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon
- Supervise pupils in the playground during lunch break
- Ensure children's well-being and safety
- Enforce school rules and regulations
Requirements
- Good spoken command of French or English
- Experience with adolescents and young children desirable
- Patience and good judgment
- Comfortable working with children and teenagers
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Demonstrate benevolence, vigilance and rigor
- Ability to manage conflict situations
- Available to work lunch hour (11:30am to 1pm) and afternoon pickup (3pm to 4pm)
