About the Role

As a Lush Store Manager, you're a true leader who embodies our core values in everything you do. You are responsible for recruiting, training, and developing your team, overseeing all aspects of the retail business, and creating an environment that fosters a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experience.
  • Educate customers and staff on brand values and ethical business practices.
  • Increase product knowledge and make informed product recommendations.
  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales goals and improve KPIs.
  • Coach and develop team members through creating development plans and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a diverse team and create an inclusive environment by prioritizing DEIB training and initiatives.
  • Address performance concerns with empathy and create action plans to improve staff engagement.
  • Form teams with an appropriate and diverse mix of styles, perspectives, and experience.
  • Ensure shop compliance with company standards for time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, health and safety.
  • Manage ordering and inventory to ensure product availability and minimize waste within budget.
  • Execute merchandising plans to improve KPIs and maintain a clean and beautiful work environment.
  • Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times while staying within the labor budget.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years managing in a retail environment.
  • Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills.
  • Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Skills

  • Consultation-based customer service models
  • Developing and training staff through positive coaching and feedback
  • Developing retail staff careers
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite, and adaptable to other systems
  • Cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
