About the Role
REDCOM is seeking a dynamic Technologist to drive near-term opportunity conversion and enhance customer support. This role focuses on finding immediate solutions using integration over development, targeting horizons of less than 18 months. You will explore emerging tech, build rapid proofs of concept, execute interoperability testing, and provide hands-on implementation support to accelerate revenue and delight customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and demonstrate rapid Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions to validate feasibility and secure short-term business opportunities.
- Conduct testing to integrate third-party technologies and emerging trends with our existing product ecosystem.
- Find creative, immediate ways to stretch and adapt current product capabilities to meet urgent customer requirements without requiring deep-cycle core software development.
- Evaluate existing product features against the technical requirements of incoming deals to identify gaps and map out integration-based workarounds.
- Continuously monitor and apply near-term technology trends that can be leveraged to close active or upcoming deals within an 18-month window.
- Provide hands-on installation services and technical implementation support directly to customers and internal deployment teams.
- Develop and deliver internal training materials to upskill sales, engineering, and support teams on newly integrated solutions and capabilities.
- Act as the technical "connective tissue" between Sales, Product Management, and Core Engineering to accelerate opportunity conversion and increase organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in a highly technical, customer-facing, or fast-paced role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Systems Integrator, or Technical Consultant).
- Proven track record of connecting disparate systems via APIs, scripting, or middleware solutions rather than building software from scratch.
- Must be available to travel independently, both domestically and internationally, as required.
- Must be available to answer customer calls on a rotational basis, 24/7, for 7 days at a time.
- Must be available to assist the on-call person with answering customer calls 24/7, 365 days a year, except during approved time off.
