About the Role
SPIN is seeking a Teacher's Assistant for their Children Services Department. This role is crucial in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a highly-rated early learning program.
Responsibilities
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development
- Supervise children appropriately, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist children with daily living activities such as diapering, feeding, and dressing
- Facilitate developmentally appropriate daily activities for preschoolers
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all children
- Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care and service
- Assist the Lead Teacher in curriculum implementation and daily activity planning
- Communicate with the Lead Teacher regarding children's care and classroom management
- Maintain a professional self-image and project organizational values
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- Experience working with young children
- Clear, pleasant, and courteous communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
