About the Role
ACAP is hiring full-time Preschool Teachers for 10-month positions at our early childhood education centers in Albany County, New York. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be an essential part of a child’s journey, laying the foundation for lifelong success.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that inspire curiosity and creativity in the classroom for children ages 3-5.
- Complete child education plans, assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation.
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment, ensuring adequate supervision in all indoor/outdoor activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
- Build strong parent/guardian-teacher relationships with regular communication and collaboration to ensure every child’s growth, development, and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 15 hours of ECE coursework required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a preschool classroom, child care, daycare, or other early childhood education setting is required.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
- Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.

Salary/Compensations
- $23.96 per hour for candidates with an Associate's degree
- $26.77 per hour for candidates with a Bachelor's degree
