About the Role
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Cardiology Technologist to perform various cardiac testing techniques in compliance with CSCT guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensures patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to testing while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring as per company guidelines.
- Responsible for inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring IV treatments for complications.
- Performs Nuclear stress testing on treadmill and using pharmacological interventions.
- Administers aminophylline as required under clinical supervision.
- Ensures all quality control assessments are performed.
- Works in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
- Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance.
- Ensures equipment and instruments are performing efficiently and effectively.
- Prepares reports as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
- Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
