About the Role

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Cardiology Technologist to perform various cardiac testing techniques in compliance with CSCT guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to testing while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring as per company guidelines.
  • Responsible for inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring IV treatments for complications.
  • Performs Nuclear stress testing on treadmill and using pharmacological interventions.
  • Administers aminophylline as required under clinical supervision.
  • Ensures all quality control assessments are performed.
  • Works in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
  • Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance.
  • Ensures equipment and instruments are performing efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepares reports as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
