About the Role

GPJ is hiring a Creative Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: New York City, Boston or Austin, TX. You work closely with the creative team, overseeing projects from the planning phase through delivery. In this role, you advocate for the creative team and remove any obstacles that may arise for them. As someone who values process and understands its importance in meeting deadlines, you spearhead process improvements when the current methods aren't working for the team, striving to find solutions that accommodate all members.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the creative timeline, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Proactively flag any potential threats to deadlines, working collaboratively with the team to find resolutions.
  • Responsible for all creative requests that come in for your team, working with the creative lead to confirm that all necessary deliverables, assets, and information are in place for execution.
  • Collaborate with creative resourcing for program staffing and identify when additional resources need to be engaged.
  • Support the creative lead with scoping during the planning phase of all projects, including involvement in the PM grid process and contributing where possible.
  • Manage hours for your creative team in Deltek and work closely with Account Operations to resolve any inaccuracies.
  • Schedule and lead creative status meetings for your team, as well as organizing creative team check-ins.
  • Attend all milestone meetings, take notes and ensure the creative team is aligned on next steps.
  • Set up and maintain the creative folders and Slack channels for your assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Experience working in Creative Operations or as a Creative Project Manager
  • Attention to detail

  • Experience working on large scale events or conferences

  • Experience with project management software
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and processes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability “to speak the language” of other departments
  • Comfortability presenting to people in leadership positions
  • Passion for going above and beyond
  • History working with cross-functional teams across account management, strategy, production, finance, etc
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Confidence pushing back when the team is not receiving the information they need
  • Ability to think big picture and distill it down into actionable plans
