About the Role
This internship focuses on fan growth within our market through grassroots programs, introducing hockey to local youth, fundraising for the organization's non-profit arm, and assisting the Community Relations team with day-to-day tasks to foster community relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setup, execution, and breakdown of Islanders events off-site or onsite.
- Manage operational needs and activation of the Islanders Community Events Tour, including vehicle preparation and game setup.
- Handle fan engagement, data collection, and proper data storage.
- Assist with planning and solicitation of donations for fundraising events.
- Support Community Relations Department at home games, building awareness of community programs and assisting with fundraising initiatives like the 50/50 raffle.
- Help grow the game by facilitating street hockey and floorball programs.
- Perform daily clerical tasks such as sorting mail, data entry, donation fulfillment, and organizing storage areas.
