About the Role

Bloomsbury Academic Publishing is seeking an editorial intern for Fall/Winter 2027. As a small team, our interns are a key part of our day-to-day operations, working with the Editorial team on a variety of projects that reflect the diverse aspects of academic publishing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental shipping
  • Manage submissions to the Library of Congress program
  • Update data systems as needed
  • Complete administrative support tasks for peer review
  • Complete course, academic, and picture research
  • Coordinate cover design and copy between editorial and design departments

Requirements

  • Commitment of 15-20 hours per week for the entire internship term
  • Reside within the NY tri-state area
  • Work during local office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
  • Submit application on or by July 26, 2026
  • Include a cover letter

Skills

  • High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Firm grasp of grammar and spelling, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Strong communication skills in a fast-paced professional environment
