About the Role
As an Actuarial Consultant, in Farm and IRCA pricing, you will lead pricing initiatives and collaborate with business partners to understand their needs. You will lead complex projects to deliver unique solutions to ensure the profitability of our Farm and IRCA pricing portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Developing rate change projects (rate level or segmentation) and various advanced analytical models aligned with corporate strategies.
- Preparing of rate filings and negotiating with regulators to support proposed changes.
- Working efficiently with advanced modeling softwares, various data sources and programming languages to contribute to strategic objectives.
- Analyzing the needs of business partners to identify innovative solutions for complex challenges and clearly articulating actuarial concepts to key stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to facilitate their development and fostering a team environment focused on collaboration and innovation.
- Leading and executing medium to large sized projects by defining a project plan, promoting team involvement and increasing efficiency as a team.
Requirements
- Completed a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the property and casualty actuarial field.
- Advanced knowledge of modeling softwares and programming languages (SQL, SAS, R and/or Python).
- Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products, emerging trends and best practices in the actuarial landscape.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Subject to a Background check as a condition of employment.
