About the Role

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of electromechanical equipment inside big box retail stores. Respond to all service calls for customers as scheduled, providing service including reactive, preventative, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment.
  • Abide by all OSHA, customer, and DOC safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
  • Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
  • Provide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
  • Perform cost-effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
  • Seek technical support promptly to minimize repair time.
  • Be available via phone for reactive service repairs unless otherwise approved.
  • Order correct parts needed for repairs.
  • Maintain organized inventory for quick part retrieval.
  • Arrive to job on-time and prepared with tools, instructions, parts, and safety equipment.
  • Travel to and from customer locations.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation accurately and as scheduled.
  • Return parts as requested, following instructions and in a timely fashion.
  • Evaluate preventable service problems and make recommendations to customers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair.
  • Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record along with proof of insurance.
  • Satisfactory background check required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights of more than 6 ft.
