About the Role

This role is responsible for reviewing operational data, making recommendations to improve service efficiency and performance, and developing data collection and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Review data received from operations and maintenance and make recommendations to the VP/GM.
• Compile data in reporting systems to make recommendations regarding staffing needs, changes to non-dedicated assignments, and adjustments to parameters for overall service efficiency and performance.
• Monitor and evaluate data collection activities, processes, and procedures.
• Make recommendations, develop, and implement standard operating procedures to standardize and improve data collection efforts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain data collection, warehousing, and analytic tools.
• Provide analytical and database support to the Operations Department and other departments as requested.
• Develop key performance indicators and business metrics and make recommendations based on collected data.
• Assist with evaluating operational and financial data to assess route performance and make recommendations to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare data presentations and provide information to decision makers.
• Respond to internal and external requests for operational data reporting and analysis, including service levels and performance, routing, and schedules.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as Data Analyst, IT Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or related positions in transit industry.
• Experience must include two years with QL Query Language, MS Forms.
• Experience must include two years with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Data Warehouse.
• Experience must include two years with Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI.
• Experience must include two years with Goto Connect, Five9.
• Experience must include two years with Trapeze, Syncromatics, Spare, Rideco, Ecolane.
• Experience must include two years with Lawson, Workday.
