About the Role
The Electrical-Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing skilled work such as troubleshooting problems, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local standard operating procedures, FDA regulations, OSHA regulations and New York State regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery used on site
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution
- Assist in the diagnosis of machine electronic controls, sensors, servers and drives
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records
- Participate in initiatives and programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the site to include safety, downtime reduction or cast savings
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and enhance equipment functionality
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems, understanding engineering drawings, and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively
- Must be able to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm) and every other weekend
- Ability to carry out tasks that might require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, working outdoors, working at height or working in confined spaces
Skills
- Automation skills with AC and Servo Drives and HMIs
- PLCs
Education Level
- High school diploma or GED certificate
Salary/Compensations
- $48,986 to $73,480 annually plus a 5% Performance Bonus
