About the Role

The Electrical-Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing skilled work such as troubleshooting problems, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local standard operating procedures, FDA regulations, OSHA regulations and New York State regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery used on site
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution
  • Assist in the diagnosis of machine electronic controls, sensors, servers and drives
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records
  • Participate in initiatives and programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the site to include safety, downtime reduction or cast savings
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and enhance equipment functionality

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems, understanding engineering drawings, and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively
  • Must be able to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm) and every other weekend
  • Ability to carry out tasks that might require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, working outdoors, working at height or working in confined spaces

Skills

  • Automation skills with AC and Servo Drives and HMIs
  • PLCs

Education Level

  • High school diploma or GED certificate

Salary/Compensations

  • $48,986 to $73,480 annually plus a 5% Performance Bonus
