About the Role

Analyze and interpret equity-related data, conduct research on economic issues impacting the business, and develop recommendations for investments. Identify and quantify potential risks and rewards, monitor investments, and monitor the market for opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work within established research systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated part of an economic research program.
  • Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
  • Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Contribute information to business cases for research funding to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.

Requirements

  • Analyze and interpret equity-related data.
  • Do research and give advice on economic issues which impact on the business.
  • Conduct research studies of existing and potential investments in selected areas and develop recommendations.
  • Identify and investigate pertinent factors influencing investment decisions.
  • Quantify and interpret potential risks and rewards.
  • Recommend acquiring, holding, or disposing of investments.
  • Monitor designated investments to identify trends and conditions.
  • Assist in the development of policy guidelines.
  • Monitor the market for anomaly switches to take advantage of these.
  • Determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making.
  • Produce research specifications and related materials.
  • Create reports for various audiences as relevant, in a lucid and effective manner, keeping in mind the purpose of reports.
