About the Role
As a Merchant Strategy & Operations Senior Associate at DoorDash, you will lead the support experience for our merchants, owning both the strategy & execution of how we serve them once they’re live on the platform. You’ll be responsible for transforming support into a tech-first, scalable, and seamless experience that drives merchant satisfaction, retention & loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Build the strategy for helping merchants succeed once they’re live on DoorDash by providing fast and seamless solutions when merchants face issues, minimizing operational friction
- Use data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment to drive go-to-market & execution for new initiatives to help merchants have the best experience on Doordash
- Work cross-functionally with our product, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and analytics teams to land key initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 2-3 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related experience
- High-growth or early-stage startup experience are a plus
- Experience leading a team are a plus
- Proven track record of working on highly cross-functional initiatives
- Proven track record of managing towards ambitious goals
- Proven track record of succeeding in complex environments
- You have a bias towards action and are proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions, and areas to add value
- You always look for ways to innovate and improve
- You solve problems from first principles and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking
- You let data win arguments
- You’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel
- You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successful
- You leverage clear, concise communications (both written and verbal) to influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functions
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Actively exploring and applying AI in your day-to-day work, bringing a beginner’s mindset and curiosity as you continuously learn and adapt alongside evolving technology
