About the Role

Peter Lucas Project Management is seeking two additional Hoist/Shaft Supervisors to support 24/7 coverage, including night shift operations. This role is responsible for managing the safe and efficient operation of hoisting systems and overseeing shaft maintenance crews. The position involves supervising maintenance activities, coordinating with underground and mill operations, and ensuring compliance with Saskatchewan mining regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all company policies and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Mine Regulations.
  • Chair shaft safety meetings, conduct field tours, and complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
  • Supervise cage tenders and hoist personnel to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel, materials, and ore to surface.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to plan and execute predictive and preventative maintenance activities for hoists, shafts, and loading pockets to minimize production interruptions.
  • Maintain and approve maintenance records and required documentation in accordance with Saskatchewan Mine Regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial or mining experience.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain the required Saskatchewan Underground Supervisory Certification.
