About the Role
Operate a straight truck or pup truck to deliver products safely and efficiently to customers, maintaining high standards of customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies, adhering to all safety practices.
- Deliver products to customers according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations in a safe and timely manner.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, reporting delivery delays to management.
- Load and unload product as required at designated stops, potentially including stocking, rotating, and ordering of product.
- Collect empty cases.
- Provide merchandising support and promote new product sales.
- Communicate effectively with customers, resolve complaints, and report problems to supervisors.
- Perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment, and maintain a clean vehicle.
- Ensure load is properly secured prior to travel and at each stop.
- Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly, including DOT and customer paperwork.
- Submit all customer paperwork and deposits daily.
- Ensure sufficient route inventory levels to meet customer demands while adhering to inventory control and distribution procedures.
- Attend all driver workshops and training sessions.
- Use company-supported applications or systems properly.
- Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirements.
- Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
- Must meet all DOT requirements.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Experience Level
- Up to 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck within the last 5 years preferred
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class B/Class B with Air Brake endorsement
