About the Role
Coherus Oncology is seeking an Oncology Account Manager to sell LOQTORZI and partner with healthcare professionals and influential oncology practice stakeholders. This role requires building relationships, understanding cancer staging and clinical guidelines, and possessing reimbursement and financial acumen.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong working knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, PD1s/checkpoint inhibitors, and associated dosing schedules.
- Develop account profiles and business plans for LOQTORZI based on customer insights to drive appropriate use across indications.
- Conduct territory business analysis, prospect for new business, and engage key HCP stakeholders for LOQTORZI.
- Execute a high level of clinical and product acumen for appropriate positioning of LOQTORZI to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Develop sustained relationships with pertinent clinical staff in targeted accounts using a patient-centric approach.
- Represent Coherus and its products in accordance with Coherus ethics, policies, and compliance expectations.
- Foster teamwork and communication in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient and Coherus interests.
- Apply a solid understanding of reimbursement, contracting, and finance associated with buy and bill injectable medications.
- Operate independently and with urgency on a daily basis.
- Understand and break down complex matrix accounts for strategic focus and planning.
- Apply superior selling skills including planning, probing, challenging, aligning, closing, and follow-up.
- Plan, budget, and execute company-provided resources, including exhibits, speaker programs, the HUB, executive visits, and coordination of National and Key Account Director activities.
- Travel up to 50% for in-person visits with HCPs, clinics, and hospitals, as well as for National Sales Meetings, Regional Meetings, Speaker Programs, and Conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (MBA Preferred)
- 5 Years minimum demonstrated sales success in the oncology marketplace preferred
- Experience in hospital, academic, and community oncology selling preferred
- Buy and bill experience needed with strong reimbursement & fiscal acumen
- Prior launch of Oncology injectables preferred
- Solid understanding of community GPOs (ION, OnMark, USO) as well as Hospital GPOs
- Working knowledge of oncology product distribution
- Solid analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills required
- Ability to develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Knowledge of community oncology practices, hospitals, academic medical centers, and IDNs required
- Experience in development, execution, and follow-up of business plans
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally with other field-based personnel
- Ability to be flexible, problem-solve, and wear multiple hats in a start-up environment
