About the Role
LMC is seeking an Audit Semi-Senior in their New York City office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment, take on various assignments, and join an employee-friendly corporate culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead client audit engagements, including planning, executing, and completing financial audits.
- Develop advanced knowledge of financial statement presentation and special purpose frameworks.
- Gain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on the audit process.
- Research and analyze financial statement and audit-related issues.
- Acquire a working knowledge of client businesses.
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and recommend improvements.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Experience auditing Banks/Financial Institutions.
- U.S. GAAP/GAAS knowledge.
- Demonstrates an ability to function at a high level in a deadline-driven, time-sensitive environment.
- Must be a team player.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, responsive, and polished communication skills (verbal and written).
Skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient with business software tools such as CCH Engagement and Microsoft Office applications.
