About the Role

As a Job Coach, you will provide hands-on training and development to shelter residents regarding soft and hard skills for employment and job retention. You will collaborate with Employment Specialists and Case Managers to tailor activities to individual skill levels and employment goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in skills and employability development including job search techniques, communication etiquette, resume building, and interviewing skills.
• Conduct skills-building workshops such as writing labs, mock interviews, and professional behavior training.
• Assess residents' skills development progress to inform future training topics.
• Provide direct employment support including scheduling interviews and securing necessary resources.
• Create and implement a monthly activity calendar.
• Document and report data on interviews and employment activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in job development and placement activities.
• Knowledge of labor market trends in various career fields.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
