About the Role
Lewis Brisbois, a national full service AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a Procurement Manager to serve as the procurement lead, overseeing the organization’s purchasing strategy to ensure the best balance of cost, quality, and reliability for all goods and services. This role involves building and managing vendor relationships, managing the contract database, assisting department leads with negotiations, and partnering with internal teams to streamline procurement workflows and support operational and strategic goals. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in professional services, strong leadership, communication, and change-management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, bidding, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order execution.
- Develop and execute the company’s procurement strategy, aligning purchasing decisions with organizational goals.
- Evaluate and onboard suppliers, maintaining strong ongoing relationships and monitoring performance through KPIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Legal, Finance, IT, Operations, etc.) to forecast needs, consolidate purchasing power, and ensure compliance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, process improvements, and vendor optimization.
- Track market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to inform decision-making.
- Oversee procurement policies, documentation, and systems to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
- Resolve supplier issues, delivery challenges, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, budget analysis, and recommendations to leadership.
