About the Role

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of complex, safety-critical material handling systems in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, and suppliers to develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective electrical solutions.
- Undertake electrical calculations, coordinate technical interfaces, and produce design documentation.
- Support procurement and installation activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering records for successful project delivery.
- Support and promote a safety-first culture, embedding health and safety considerations into designs.
- Review project requirements and contribute to feasibility assessments.
- Define and plan electrical engineering activities, deliverables, and timelines.
- Design complete electrical installations, including power distribution, control cabinets, and field wiring.
- Produce electrical schematics, calculations, and documentation for manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Support site teams and subcontractors with clear instructions and technical guidance.
- Continuously develop skills and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Understand electrical power distribution and control systems.
- Experience in electrical design for industrial or low-voltage installations.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as EPLAN and/or AutoCAD (training can be provided).
- Awareness of industrial communication networks such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards and safety requirements.
- Interest in working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Structured approach to problem-solving with attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others.
- Openness to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
