About the Role
The Lycée Français de Toronto is seeking a Primary School Teacher to support a kindergarten/elementary class and teach in accordance with the French program. This role involves pedagogical follow-up for students, participation in educational meetings, and involvement in school projects within a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for a kindergarten/elementary class
- Teach in accordance with the French program
- Provide pedagogical follow up for students
- Participate in the various educational meetings (parent-teacher meetings, teachers councils, cycle councils & school councils)
- Be involved in the school project. He (she) will be likely to work in consultation with an English-speaking colleague, the other teachers in the cycle and more generally teams of all levels in inter-degree projects.
Requirements
- French Ministry Education diploma or Master 1 or 2 or experience as a teacher in AEFE network.
- Great adaptability and ability to work in a demanding multicultural environment.
- Strong relational skills, both in the workplace and in the community, parents being fairly involved in their child’s education.
- Ability to develop educational projects or contribute to school projects.
- Candidate will have to adapt to classes which, while having a very good level, are also very heterogeneous (English speakers and French speakers).
- Non-Canadian candidates must hold a work permit allowing them to teach.
Skills
- Strong knowledge and grasp of google suite, classroom & Smart boards.
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents and administrators
