About the Role
This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing bar inventory, and ensuring a positive guest experience in a hospitality setting. You will contribute to a pleasant and professional working atmosphere while adhering to all company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down the bar area.
- Secure liquor and properly store fruit and juices.
- Accept and process drink orders accurately.
- Prepare cocktails according to beverage standards using a standard jigger.
- Interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Follow all check handling and credit card policies; no cash tabs.
- Verify drink orders against server tickets for accuracy.
- Prepare beverage requisitions for liquor.
- Create a pleasant, friendly, and professional working atmosphere.
- Perform duties safely using established procedures and equipment.
- Adhere to procedures for promotional and birthday drinks.
- Inform guests of food, beverage, and bar promotional activities.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule based on business demands.
- Complete all opening and closing duties as per the checklist.
- Comply with procedures regarding alcohol service and identification of minors.
- Fulfill reasonable management requests.
- Report to work on time and in full uniform.
- Follow rules outlined in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks.
- Maintain cleanliness of all bar areas.
- Check and replace glassware as needed.
- Stock and replenish ice at all ice stations.
- Clean floors in the area of responsibility at the end of each shift.
- Empty and steam-clean trashcans at the end of each shift or as necessary.
- Manage inventory and stock rotation for soda and juices.
- Stock and replenish beer bottles and kegs.
- Perform side work duties.
Requirements
- Previous bar or food service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Passion for bar/mixology and a desire to learn more about the craft.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
