About the Role

The Warehouse Delivery Driver will accurately pull orders using a scanner and deliver orders throughout central NY using a company van. This role involves performing daily vehicle checks, communicating with dispatch, sales staff, and clients, and operating a single-unit vehicle under 26,001 pounds with a towing capacity of no more than 10,000 pounds. A Class D Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Maneuver vehicles into loading or unloading positions, following signals and ensuring proper positioning.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Perform end-of-day loading and fueling procedures daily.
• Comply with safety & health policies and procedures.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Recognize health & safety hazards and use appropriate safeguards.
• Wear appropriate clothing & personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in process improvements, investigations and corrective actions.
• Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three years verifiable related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Pass required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable).
• Possess a valid Driver’s License – Class D.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
