About the Role

The Compliance Manager supports Enfuce’s second line of defence (2LOD) Risk & Compliance function, ensuring operations align with UK and EU regulatory obligations. This role provides compliance advisory, monitoring, governance, and regulatory change support, working closely with various business teams to ensure pragmatic and commercially aware compliance. The position requires a strategic and hands-on approach to develop compliance frameworks, monitoring activities, and policy governance, while also supporting initiatives like operational resilience and Consumer Duty. The Compliance Manager will help navigate regulatory complexity, maintain governance standards, and build scalable compliance practices as Enfuce expands internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and maintain risk and compliance training.
  • Perform horizon scanning and coordinate regulatory change initiatives.
  • Develop and execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Track, challenge, and support the business in remediating compliance issues.
  • Provide second line oversight and advice on Consumer Duty, safeguarding, capital, complaints, operational resilience, and outsourcing.
  • Own the policy framework, drafting and maintaining policies, and reviewing business policies.
  • Coordinate timely submission of regulatory returns and support automation projects.
  • Support engagement with regulators, including coordinating responses to queries.
  • Act as a point of contact for third-party auditors.
  • Manage key governance frameworks, including conflicts of interest and whistleblowing.
  • Coordinate the Risk and Compliance Committee.
  • Contribute to broader Risk and Compliance initiatives, including ESG and investor reporting.
  • Drive safe, ethical, and well-governed adoption of AI.
  • Lead the development of key compliance reports.
  • Provide risk and compliance support across Enfuce group entities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the payments and e-money sector, including card issuing, card schemes, and BIN Sponsorship models.
  • Working knowledge of UK and EU regulatory frameworks (FCA and FIN-FSA).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Consumer Duty, outsourcing, and operational resilience.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to independently research and interpret regulatory requirements.
  • Effective compliance monitoring and advisory practices to deliver high-quality, risk-based assessments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to provide effective challenge constructively.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand the broader business context and regulatory impact on decisions.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
