About the Role
The Biblio Operations Specialist supports the accuracy and flow of publishing operations data, including contract, payment, author, payee, and vendor information. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy detail-oriented work, learning business systems, and contributing to team organization and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update contract, payment, author, payee, and vendor information across publishing and financial systems.
- Support payment-related processes by reviewing data, updating schedules, and ensuring information accuracy before payments are released.
- Research and resolve basic data issues, such as duplicate records, missing information, or inconsistent details across systems.
- Partner with Finance, Contracts Operations, Royalty Accounting, Managing Editorial, and Audio teams to answer questions and support day-to-day operational needs.
- Assist with data cleanup, reconciliation, and special projects to improve process consistency and system accuracy.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in publishing operations, finance operations, data entry, administrative support, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and learning new systems.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage routine tasks and follow established processes.
- Clear written communication and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
- Curiosity, dependability, and a willingness to learn contract, payment, royalty, and vendor processes over time.
