About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational facets of maintaining and repairing a wind power plant facility. Your primary focus will be ensuring team safety while maximizing performance and profitability. This involves developing and implementing strategies to improve maintenance practices, diagnostic capabilities, and operational efficiency, leading to increased customer satisfaction and reduced service costs.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for all operational facets on the maintenance and repair of a wind power plant facility.
  • Ensure the team's safety while concurrently focusing on maximizing performance and profitability per the operational framework.
  • Devise and execute strategies to elevate maintenance practices, diagnostic capabilities, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the initial 5-month rotational program, including training and assignments between facilities.
  • Enforce the implementation of Operational Safety Policy Instructions, ensuring field work aligns with regulations and promoting sound employee safety practices.
  • Actively engage in and lead Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
  • Recruit, nurture, retain, guide, and advance resources at sites to uphold professional standards and foster team development.
  • Assume accountability for all aspects of timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and turbine availability.
  • Collaborate closely with internal NextEra stakeholders to devise and execute operation-focused feedback and solutions for maintenance, improvement projects, development initiatives, and financial performance.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of NextEra Energy within the community and in interactions with customers.
  • Oversee the performance of wind field operations within the designated contractual scope of responsibilities for external customers and stakeholders.
  • Climb Wind Turbines.
  • Monitor, control, and forecast plant budgets and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Interface with land owners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and local government and community representatives.
  • Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling.
  • Ensure compliance to all company safety and environmental policies.
  • Perform other collateral duties in support of the Power Generation Division (PGD) portfolio.
  • Use computer based applications.
  • Complete reports and paperwork.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to climb Wind Turbines.
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
