About the Role

Join Swiss Re's Financial Markets Program (FMP), a rotational program designed to develop the next generation of investment professionals. You will rotate across several investment teams, gaining experience across the investment lifecycle and understanding how Swiss Re invests its assets. You will analyze markets, contribute to investment decisions, and help solve business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through 3-4 investment teams (e.g. Private Equity, Private Debt, Public Fixed Income, Asset Allocation, Corporate Development)
  • Analyze financial markets, industries and investment opportunities to support investment decisions
  • Assess portfolio performance, risk exposures and macroeconomic developments
  • Contribute to investment strategy, portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions
  • Support due diligence, investment recommendations and transaction execution
  • Prepare materials for investment committees and senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve investment processes and innovation
  • Apply data, quantitative tools and emerging technologies to enhance investment analysis
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Completed, or about to complete, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline
  • Up to three years of professional experience
  • Genuinely curious about financial markets and the global economy
  • Think analytically, solve complex problems and enjoy working with data
  • Learn quickly, seek feedback and continuously look for ways to improve
  • Build strong relationships and thrive in collaborative, international teams
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Take ownership, show initiative, and demonstrate integrity, sound judgement and attention to detail

Skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA, Bloomberg, Power BI or similar analytical tools is an advantage
  • An interest in AI and emerging technologies, and how they can improve analysis, decision-making and ways of working is a plus
