About the Role
As a Safety Controls Engineer/Functional Safety Consultant, you will work with customers to identify and measure risks on industrial machinery. You will engineer, verify, and validate safety solutions to protect workers in the industrial environment. This role reports to the Manager, Safety Services.
Responsibilities
- Face-to-face or virtual interaction with customers to gather knowledge around industrial machine hazards.
- Development and delivery of core safety offerings utilizing industry and internal standards.
- Conduct Lockout Tagout audits and procedures.
- Perform Risk Assessments.
- Develop Safety Requirement Specifications.
- Engineer Safety Systems.
- Perform Safety Function Verification.
- Conduct Stop Time Measurements / Calculations.
- Perform Safety System Validations.
- Meet project milestones, or escalating as required to complete projects on time and within scope/budget.
- Lead customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Leverage safety service delivery processes, methodologies, and tools to complete tasks on time and in budget.
- Support the sales channel in identifying and qualifying machine safety projects.
- Travel as role requires, generally Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Relevant Field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- No sponsorship for employment visas, now or in the future.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Salary/Compensations
- $97,520 - $146,280
- 5% annual target bonus
