About the Role

As a Manager, Performance, you will lead and oversee the performance team, including related projects, research, and the development of analytics for measuring and attributing performance results of the total Fund and investment strategies against their benchmarks. You will also develop and implement new performance measurement methodologies and analytics to meet evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Review and own the delivery of performance reports for investment groups and Management.
  • Conduct thorough analysis on performance results, explain performance results, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Undertake ad hoc production of performance analysis to support Management reporting and investing departments.
  • Support the creation and update of the Performance Measurement and Reporting Standard, Performance Measurement Methodologies, and operational procedures.
  • Support the performance Product and Data Owners in the execution of development road maps and BAU activities.
  • Lead team initiatives to improve existing processes through innovative thinking.
  • Evaluate processes and system capabilities and provide business cases for enhancements or new functionality.
  • Participate in the development of new performance metrics to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Lead and ensure effective communication and execution of team and Department’s cross-functional projects and system applications.
  • Develop and evolve roles and responsibilities for performance measurement, attribution, monitoring, and reporting activities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or graduate degree in a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant professional designation (CFA, CIPM, FRM, CPA, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python with a focus on analytical packages (e.g., Pandas, Numpy).
  • Advanced Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebook, Amazon Web Service, QuickSight, and SimCorp Dimension is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of performance measurement and performance attribution methodologies (i.e. time weighted vs. dollar weighted returns, arithmetic vs. geometric attribution, multi-currency & fixed-income attribution).
