About the Role
HRT is seeking highly motivated full-time students for our Software Engineering Summer Internship Program. Our software engineers create and maintain technology and infrastructure integral to our trading success. Ideal candidates are smart programmers eager to learn and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Gain a hands-on introduction to all technical facets of software engineering in the algorithmic trading industry.
- Undertake independent programming projects in Python, C, or C++.
- Participate in structured and hands-on trainings, transitioning into real projects quickly.
- Learn about HRT's research and trading infrastructure.
- Engage in technical project work and mentorship to understand global financial markets.
- Connect with fellow interns and participate in team events.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time undergraduate student studying computer science or a related field.
- Must be eligible for full-time roles in 2028.
- Programming experience in Python, C, or C++ is required.
- A passion for technology and writing elegant, readable, and efficient code.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of trading and/or financial markets is not required.
