About the Role
The Robot Arm Operator is responsible for the operation of the automatic palletizer and wrap machine. This is a 2nd shift opportunity with a schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the automatic palletizer and wrap machine, making necessary adjustments for quality stacking.
- Inspect empty pallets for quality.
- Perform daily Metal Detect and weigh checks to ensure equipment is working properly.
- Troubleshoot operational issues following all safety protocols.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the east alleyway of the East Warehouse.
- Monitor, organize, and record ripped bags, “off weights”, and metal rejects.
- Check weights and date codes on products being packed.
- Organize rework and cooperate with the Shift Support Person in accessing rework.
- Compact cardboard as time permits.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
- Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
- Knowledge of FSMA.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
