About the Role
As Market Development Manager, you will build and manage relationships with local decision-makers and public transport authorities in Scotland. Your responsibilities include developing service design, rider experience, and commercial performance, while collaborating with local and central teams to expand Voi's presence and ridership.
Responsibilities
- Build strong ties with key stakeholders including public transport authorities, city administrators, project managers, associations, and partner companies.
- Run events and initiatives with the local public policy team to improve performance against city priorities and grow market footprint.
- Evaluate new market entry opportunities based on commercial viability, regulatory readiness, and strategic fit.
- Represent Voi to cities exploring shared micromobility and lead pre-tender and tender processes.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with cities to secure sustainable terms.
- Act as the main point of contact for city stakeholders, developing compliant solutions that balance user experience with decision-maker relationships.
- Utilize data, analytics, and market research to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and performance improvements.
- Manage city-level P&Ls and understand key drivers of financial performance.
- Collaborate with competitors in the same cities to strengthen shared footprint and compliance where relevant.
- Partner with central growth and product teams on pricing and product strategy.
- Identify opportunities and lead projects that drive change in collaboration with the local team.
- Provide feedback from local markets to central teams to refine playbooks, processes, and frameworks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in policy, government/enterprise key account management, operations, or strategy, as a consultant or in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in negotiating and managing external stakeholders such as partners, government, and media.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and balancing diverse stakeholder needs.
- Ability to analyze large datasets using Google Sheets or Excel.
- Experience working with P&Ls, budgets, and business cases.
- Flexibility to travel regularly to Scotland.
Skills
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences
