About the Role
As a Title Reader in New York, you will research public records and examine titles to identify any existing conditions or restrictions on property titles.
Responsibilities
- Read and examine property abstracts
- Review surveys
- Draft metes and bounds descriptions
- Assist in clearing title issues
- Prepare title commitments using company software
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Act as a leader within the company
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of title reading/clearance experience for New York
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Proven customer service skills
- Proficiency with personal computers, MS Office, and office equipment
- Must complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
