About the Role
Responsible for verifying product characteristics and associated manufacturing documentation and quality records using various inspection techniques. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and delegated authorities.
Responsibilities
- Exemplify a safety-first mind-set and ensure adherence to GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
- Perform inspection processes as described by product work instructions and/or other directions.
- Perform first article inspections in line with site operating policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Execute customer and regulatory delegated inspection processes as authorized, and maintain those delegated authorities.
- Support root cause analysis, preventative, and corrective actions to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
- Maintain positive team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
- Support continuous improvement of production and inspection processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in inspection methods and techniques and following relevant work instructions.
- 1+ years of experience with AS9100 series requirements.
- 1+ years of experience working with LEAN processes and practices.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects.
